Niebrugge Furniture was established by Gerald "Jerry" and Diane Niebrugge in 1978. After serving his country in the Vietnam War, Jerry moved back to his hometown and worked at a local furniture store.

After a few years in the business the decision was made to start his own company with his very good friend Jim Niebrugge. Jerry and Jim named the company Niebrugge A-1 Furniture, and sold new and used furniture. After a few years in business it was decided that if they were going to excel in the furniture business, that they were going to have to tear down the existing building and build a new one. Several years down the road Jerry bought out Jim's shares and became sole owner of Niebrugge Furniture and sold only new merchandise.

As the years went by, many stores came and left the area, but Niebrugge Furniture managed to grow their business by offering quality products for reasonable prices. In 2004, Jerry's son Jason began working full time at the store, after graduating with a degree in business from Eastern Illinois University. Unfortunately, Jerry passed away after a long battle with cancer in April of 2009. Since then Jason has become the owner of the store, and still runs the business with the same core values that Jerry had so much success with. Offering a quality product with great service to the customer.

In 2007, in order to increase floor space, Jerry and Jason decided to tear down the existing warehouse, and build a new showroom. Now offering more than 15,000 Sq. Ft. of furniture, Niebrugge Furniture is able to better serve their customers.

Niebrugge Furniture is very fortunate to have the great customers they have had in the past, and look forward to meeting new customers and to continue to grow in their business. From all of us at Niebrugge Furniture, Thank You for the business and hope to see you in the future!
